Wella Wella Wella what do we have here?

I recently found out that I am being entered into the Wella Professionals competition which I am super excited about so I thought I'd share some of my favourite products I've been using recently! I'm loving the looks created by Wella at the moment. They're very androgynous and angular, it takes a strong face to be able to pull off a cut like that though. I stuggle with many emerging fashion trends as I've got a big moon face but I decided to get my head shaved on friday, it kind of looks like half a mohawk and I love it! plus it means I've only got half a head of hair to dry in the morning. Super duper!

Not my most flattering picture but you get the idea!

Here are two of my favourite images from the Wella creations. They're so striking! Definite head turners. To me they have a very science fiction feel about them which takes a lot of confidence to pull off.

Now, onto products.

My all time favourite product is Wella's Velvet Amplifier style primer. That's right, its a primer for your hair! We prime our faces before using foundations, our eyelids before using eye shadow so why not our hair? This is used on wet hair before you use your usual products like mousse or blow drying lotion, it smooths the cuticle and creates beautiful shine and movement as well as holding your style! I use this product on everyone and i usually follow it up with the Perfect Setting blowdry lotion.

My favourite styling products isn't by Wella but I had to throw it in here. It's the Osis Dust It by Schwarzkopf. It's so easy to use, just a sprinkle on the roots then fluff your hair into place. It can give so much dramatic volume and it stays all day! The only problem is that I usually have to shampoo my hair three times to get it all out and it can make your hair feel a bit gross but I can definitely put up with these minor problems if it means my hair will stay massive all day.

I don't want to ramble on too much as this post is already really long so I'll see you in my next post!

Here's looking at you, kid.

So, I've always wanted to start a blog but worried I wouldn't have anything interesting to say. I decided I should just go for it and blog about everything that interests me. I wasn't sure how to start so I figured I'd just introduce myself.

My name's Holly and I'm 20 years old from Manchester. I'm a hairdresser and I love everything about hair and beauty. I love rock music and going to gigs and I have a slight obsession with 50's films. I'm a painter and I love reading. I'm also a massive gamer nerd and I'd marry my xbox if it was legal. I'm not a typical hairdresser really!
I'm going to try to blog about fashion, hair and beauty products and any news I have. I'm hoping that documenting my life will make it seem like it isn't actually as boring as I think it is.

Thanks for reading, stay tuned!
